2025-2026 School Year
Scheduling Advisory Lesson for current SPHS students (Rising 10th - 12th Grade) January 6:
January 9: Scheduling Lesson for current 8th grade students (Rising 9th Grade) in math classes.

January 16: PowerSchool Student Portal will opens for students to enter course requests.

January 30: PowerSchool Student Portal will CLOSE. All course requests are due!
February, entire month: Current high school students (Rising 10th-12th grade) will meet with their assigned School Counselor for course advising. All course requests entered by the student will be reviewed with the School Counselor and any adjustments can be made at this time. School Counselors will review all rising 9th grade requests and correct any errors.

March/April Date TBD: Course Verification will open. Families will review course selections one last time and make any needed corrections. This is not a copy of the student schedule, only a list of requests. This will be the last opportunity to make any changes to next year's course requests.

Course Verification through the first day of school: Scheduling Freeze. No schedule change requests can be made. SPHS Administration and Counselors work to determine teacher allocations and class assignments and also build the master schedule and individual student schedules. In order to be equitable to all students, this time is blacked out for changes in order to fulfill every students' initial course requests as best as possible. Please remember that not every course request may be granted and alternates may need to be used.

The First 10 Days of School: Students will receive a copy of their finalized schedule the week prior to the start of school in StudentPortal. Students must follow instructions on the schedule change request page to request a change to their schedule. All students must follow their current schedule until a change has been confirmed by their School Counselor.
