The Registrar's Office, located within the Counseling Center, is responsible for: transcript requests, enrollment and withdrawal of students, as well as the maintenance of academic records.

New Student Registration

Please use the AACPS Locate Your School tool first to be sure your address is zoned for Severna Park High School.

During the COVID-19 State-mandated shutdown, Anne Arundel County Public Schools is using a remote process to enroll students for the 2020-2021 school year for grades K-12.

The following documents are required for enrollment:

  • Child’s documents –

    • Birth Certificate

    • Immunization Record

    • Recent Report Card or Transcript

  • Parent’s documents –

    • Government-issued photo ID

    • Primary proof of residency: mortgage, deed, or lease

    • Secondary proof of residency: utility bill, bank statement, or paystub in the last 60 days

    • Custody Order (if applicable)

Hint: Be sure to have your documents saved and ready, in PDF or JPEG format, before you enter the portal because the system cannot accept incomplete registrations and you’ll have to re-enter all data fields.

Once all documents are uploaded and your form is submitted, please allow 2 business days for a response from Mrs. Besche. After your information has been verified, you will receive an email from Mrs. Besche and your child's School Counselor to begin the course selection process. Your School Counselor will meet virtually via Google Meet with both the student and the parent (both parties must be present for the meeting) to review the student's course history and course selections for the 2020-2021 school year.

Virtual Registration Meetings will be held Monday-Thursday throughout the summer months and will only be scheduled by the School Counselor once enrollment information has been verified by Mrs. Besche. Your virtual registration meeting will be about 30 minutes.

Course Selection Materials - Please note this site instructs students to complete course selections online. This is for current students only. New students should use the course selection worksheet for their grade level to help them with their course selections. Please have a rough draft of your course selection form ready for your virtual meeting.

Student Withdraw

You must first clear all of your obligations with Mrs. Koester,
SPHS financial secretary, prior to the withdrawal.
Mrs. Koester can be reached at 410.544.0900 ext. 8389.
Book Return Form Fill out the withdrawal form below and return it to Jaclyn Besche. Mrs. Besche will then prepare a Transfer Packet which will include the following information:
Official transcript, grades, class schedule, test scores, attendance data, discipline data, birth certificate, & immunization records. Withdraw Form Please allow a minimum of 3-5 work days for processing time during peak summer hours.

Transcript/Records Request

Current Seniors All transcript requests for current seniors should be requested via Naviance. Instructions can be found in the Document Resource section of your Naviance page. You must complete a Transcript Release Form prior to requesting your transcript on Naviance. Current 9th-11th Grade Class of 2016-2020 ​​ Class of 2015 and earlier Duplicate Diploma SPHS Alumni with a graduation year of 2015 or earlier must request records directly from the AACPS Student Records Office. MVA & Work Permit Forms

Work Permit Online Work permits for minors are completed electronically through the State of Maryland. MVA Learner's Permit The MVA Learner's Permit form will now be able to be completed 100% by the parent of the permit applicant. Parents, please complete the MVA Learner's Permit School Attendance Form and bring it with you to your student's appointment.

Change of Address

Please complete and return the form below along with two forms of residency verification to Jaclyn Besche. You must submit the following items with the Change of Address Form: 1. Lease, deed, or mortgage statement 2. Utility Bill (BGE, Water, Cable)
3. Cell Phone Bills will not be accepted. Change of Address Form
